Product Description
The X-Direct hardware is a chassis which holds up to 7 Coax cards
which provide connections to up to 7 mainframe hosts simultaneously.
It can be installed on a UNIX workstation's SCSI bus or as a customized
Intel-based UNIX workstation provided by I/O Concepts.
- Attached to a UNIX workstation's external SCSI bus. Up
to 7 X-Direct COAX cards provide up to 5 DFT or 1 CUT mode console
sessions. There can be more than one chassis connected
to a UNIX workstation. Each chassis can support up to 35
IBM consoles in DFT mode.
- Provides a gateway to X-Direct clients installed on the
workstation or across the TCP/IP network
- Installed as an X-Direct Intel-based UNIX workstation housing
up to 7 X-Direct COAX cards
